Foods that Lower High Blood Pressure

Consuming bananas will reduce blood pressure by 10% because it acts like ACE inhibitors medications that are taken for blood pressure. Include a banana in your morning meal or make a fruit salad containing one whole banana.

Beets

Taking 500ml of beetroot juice everyday will effectively lower the blood pressure levels.  Dietary nitrate present in beetroot gets converted to nitrite by the bacteria on the tongue. This nitrite turns to nitric oxide which is very important in regulating and controlling the blood pressure.

Consuming chicken soup or chicken legs or chicken breast is very good for lowering blood pressure levels. Protein present in chicken is broken down into peptides in the stomach, which help to lower the blood pressure. Peptides act similar to ACE inhibitors. This effect continues upto 4 hours after eating chicken breast and upto 24 hours after eating chicken legs.
